Newborns are best photographed within the first 7–21 days, when they are naturally sleepy, curled, and settled—perfect for creating those soft, timeless images.

Once you’ve shared your due date, I’ll reserve a provisional session date around 10 days later. When your baby arrives, we can adjust the date if needed, keeping everything flexible and stress-free.

Sessions take place in the mornings. This allows for a calm, unhurried experience with plenty of time for feeding, settling, and cuddles.

Of course, babies don’t always arrive on schedule—and that’s absolutely fine. I allow for flexibility within my diary and reserve a limited number of sessions each month to accommodate early or late arrivals. Once your baby is here, we simply adjust your session date if needed.

Babies up to around six weeks old can still be photographed in a newborn style. Sessions may take a little longer and often include a gentle mix of sleepy images and beautiful awake portraits with more eye contact and expression.

Absolutely! Bringing a new baby home is such a special moment, and capturing those early family connections is a cherished part of every newborn session.

Parent and sibling portraits are always included at no extra cost. These images often become the most treasured, perfectly reflecting the love and emotion of this new chapter in your family’s life.

Family photos are usually taken at the start of the session, when siblings are fresh and engaged. Sessions are relaxed and gently guided, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

For a timeless and elegant look, I recommend soft, neutral tones like cream, white, grey, or gentle pastels. These colours photograph beautifully and won’t cast unwanted tones on your baby’s delicate skin.

Simple, solid fabrics work best. It’s best to avoid bold patterns, logos, or bright colours, as they can distract from the natural connection between you and your baby.

You don’t need to bring anything for your newborn. My sessions is include all props, outfits and setups for your baby, and the studio is stocked with a carefully curated selection of wraps, blankets, and subtle accessories. The focus is always on your baby’s natural features and the bond you share as a family, rather than on trend-led styling.

If there’s a sentimental item you’d love to include, you’re very welcome to bring it along.

Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll arrange a short call to go over styling in more detail, so you feel fully prepared and relaxed ahead of your session.

It’s completely normal for newborns to have flaky skin, baby acne, or mild jaundice in their first few weeks. These temporary changes are a natural part of early life and nothing to worry about.

During editing, I carefully soften and refine any temporary skin conditions while keeping your baby’s natural features and delicate details intact. My approach is always subtle and true-to-life, so your portraits remain authentic and timeless.

If your baby has more noticeable jaundice or skin irritation on the day, we can discuss whether a short delay might help—but in most cases, there’s no need to reschedule.

Your private online gallery will be ready in around 4-6 weeks after your newborn session.

You’ll be able to view approximately 25–35 carefully edited images, each with a natural and timeless finish. From your gallery, you can choose your included favourites, with the option to select additional images if you wish.

Once your selections are confirmed, your high-resolution digital files will be delivered through a secure online download link.

At this stage, you’ll also have the option to explore luxury print collections, handcrafted albums, or bespoke wall art, all designed to beautifully complement your home.

While all collections include professionally edited digital images, many families choose to invest in beautifully crafted printed artwork for their home.

I offer a curated selection of heirloom products, including fine art albums, matted print collections and bespoke wall art. Each piece is carefully designed to complement your portraits and preserve them in a tangible, lasting form.
